Herds of buffalo are known to come together, especially when attacked by predators such as the pride of lions. Sometimes the whole group returns to save one of them from the clutches of death! As lions, African elephants, leopards, buffalo and rhinos were dangerous enemies of colonial hunters, life in the wild was not easy.
