This 9-day safari immerses you in the heart of Tanzania’s wild beauty. From the baobab forests of Tarangire to the endless plains of Serengeti, and the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater to the cultural wonders of Lake Eyasi, you’ll experience unmatched wildlife, landscapes, and local heritage.

🗓️ Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival – Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) – Arusha

  • Warm welcome by RoScavenger representative at the airport

  • Private transfer to your hotel in Arusha

  • Pre-safari briefing and relaxation

  • Overnight: Arusha Planet Lodge or similar

  • Meals: Dinner

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

  • Drive to Tarangire National Park (approx. 2.5 hrs)

  • Game drive through elephant herds and ancient baobabs

  • Picnic lunch in the park

  • Sunset views from your lodge

  • Overnight: Tarangire Simba Lodge

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park

  • Morning drive to Lake Manyara

  • Game drive: hippos, flamingos, tree-climbing lions

  • Optional visit to a local Maasai boma

  • Overnight: Manyara Serena Safari Lodge

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 4: Lake Manyara – Lake Eyasi (Cultural Day)

  • Transfer to Lake Eyasi, home to the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes

  • Early morning hunting experience with the Hadzabe (optional)

  • Visit blacksmith village and cultural immersion

  • Overnight: Ziwani Lodge

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 5: Lake Eyasi – Serengeti National Park (via Ngorongoro Highlands)

  • Scenic drive to Central Serengeti

  • En route stop at a viewpoint overlooking Ngorongoro Crater

  • Afternoon game drive in the Serengeti

  • Overnight: Serengeti Heritage Camp

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 6: Full-Day Game Drive – Serengeti

  • Early morning game drive – best time for predators

  • Explore the Central Serengeti or Seronera Valley

  • Picnic lunch in the wild

  • Sunset at campfire with stargazing

  • Overnight: Serengeti Heritage Camp

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 7: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

  • Morning game drive while exiting the Serengeti

  • Optional stop at Olduvai Gorge (archaeological site)

  • Arrive at Ngorongoro Crater rim

  • Overnight: Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

  • Descend 600m into Ngorongoro Crater for a full game drive

  • Spot endangered black rhino, lions, elephants, and flamingos

  • Picnic lunch near the hippo pool

  • Afternoon return to Arusha

  • Overnight: Arusha Planet Lodge

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 9: Arusha – Departure

  • Breakfast at the lodge

  • Optional local shopping or visit to Cultural Heritage Centre (time permitting)

  • Private transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport

  • Meals: Breakfast
